WE have visited Melbourne many times.
WE have visited Melbourne many times. It is now a very busy city. We used the free tram to explore many sights around the city and it was easy to hop on and off to get to where we wanted to go. We ate in the Docklands and in the Spencer Street Outlet Centre. This is a great area for shopping if you are young. There was little on offer for seniors or for people who are a bit taller and a bit larger in size. The contrasting architecture is very interesting. There are small older building wedged in between the many skyscrapers and lovely old Arcades and shops are still in existence. There are so many different cultures here, all blended into a giant melting pot. It is worth visiting to watch the people!Guest review byNolaAustralia - 8.0

Geelong has a lot to offer with some great restaurants, cafes and pubs for meals. Well located if you want to travel to other places like Lorne, Barwon Heads, Queenscliff, but want more reasonable hotel rates, Geelong is more reasonably priced. Good shopping and great waterfront. Easy to get around with either public transport or car. There’s lots of wineries nearby so that’s also a bonus.Guest review byTraceyAustralia - 10.0

Walks, exploring, R and R, shopping and eating out. We loved walking out on the rock jetty and talking with local fishermen. Enjoyed Marriners Lookout, great sea views and vegetation of the area. All of the food we experienced was very good and appropriate as advertised - presented with care and knowledge.Guest review byChristineAustralia - 10.0

Really enjoyed the Paddle Steamer excursion and gaining an understanding of the 'lock system' along the river. People were friendly and helpful. Best dining experience was 'Enjoywine Char Grill & Bar'. Amazing food and great service. Also, really enjoyed the visit to Wentworth Gaol and the Wentworth Pioneer Museum - really interesting! Was disappointed that some of the places we wanted to visit were not open Monday to Wednesday - but these are places we can visit next time we are there!Guest review byPeakAustralia - 10.0

Easy city to navigate, sightseeing venues central, easy to locate. Staff in shops professional & friendly, happy, good service is shops. Good range of shopping & eateries available, only criticism would be that we couldn’t find a coffee shop open after 4pm on Sunday, apart from the RSL. Botanical gardens worth visiting. Train service from Melbourne very efficient, clean. Station easy walk to shops.Guest review byLorraineAustralia - 10.0
