What a fantastic stay at the Oval Hotel Adelaide. Their customer service, room amenities and restaurant were all incredible. The technology in the room was fantastic and certainly state of the art but still provided a personal touch. Dinner at the Bespoke Restaurant was amazing with an uninterrupted view of Adelaide Oval-even if you do not stay at the hotel, give the restaurant a go. I am not sure we can stay anywhere else in Adelaide after this experience and can not wait to come back.

The cottages are so beautiful! It’s like a fairyland with pretty flowers of different species just outside your different coloured scheme house in the garden. Entering the house was a feast for the eyes with great attention given to every interior decor and details. A bonus to have a TV in every room and hall. Netflix service is provided where you can key in your own account access. There are plenty glassware and pretty plates for your use. Beds are very comfortable with plenty of space created within a mini cottage but fully furnished and equipped. We were pleasantly impressed with a bottle of wine given and a bag of honeycomb chocolates as a complimentary delight. Everything in this stay is wonderful with close walking proximity the the beach. It’s only a 10 mins drive to Port Elliot and Victor Harbor where all the dining restaurants are. We love this place and will highly recommend to our friends!

Public transport around the place is very good.

Public transport around the place is very good. We found the timetable and stops confusing. We managed to get on the wrong tram and also didn’t get off the bus at the right spot so found ourselves on the way back to where we’d boarded. I think a more tourist friendly printed map would be very handy. Apart from that, Glenelg, botanic gardens, museum art gallery, markets all fantastic the locals are very helpful and friendly. Love the mix of old buildings with new.

Unfortunately, the Town is obviously struggling with the Steel Plant issues and the Trades and others I spoke with on this trip were very negative about the current and future prospects of Whyalla. The Town in my opinion needs a Birthday. Looking very sad unfortunately. I wasn't working at the Steel Works on this visit, wasn't remotely connected to Industry in Whyalla or surrounding areas. it was in the Whyalla CBD. I visit Whyalla at least once per year.

The local bars and restaurants were great. They were busy for school holidays but staff were always willing to help out and get you a spot. Bar Musque in Tanunda was a highlight! We submitted a review and sadly the owners didn’t take on board rhe criticism. Why should we be forced to keep an electric blanket on all night to stay warm….buy another blanket!! You failed to answer my concern about your “pornographic DVD player in YOUR COLLECTION LEFT FOR GUESTS”, not good at all! The heater was turned on and didn’t come on for over and hour, then 5 minutes and went off again, the towels were so thin and small, come on……you charge enough, spend a few $$$$$$$, I think adequate was generous, I won’t be telling anyone to go to you, your most unapproachable!
