Friendly staff. Holley at Reception was very welcoming. Although Check-in was at 3pm, as we had informed we would be arriving at ard 11am, Holley got a room ready for us to check-in early and enjoy the resort facilities. Welcome drink was tasty and my kid enjoyed the welcoming experience. Pool and salt water lagoon was the highlight of the stay. Excellent spread for buffet breakfast. Definitely recommend staying here again.

The beaches, the weather, the shopping, the parks...What is not to love about the Gold Coast. We attended GC500, the event was organised well and heaps of vendors so the queues were not overly long. Currently there are 'cost of living' travel so all busses and trams just 50c, it was amazing, we bussed and trammed everywhere and it cost us less than $10 for 7 days.

We visited Cairns twice during our travels.

We visited Cairns twice during our travels. The first time we explored all the main attractions- Aquarium, Botanic Gardens, Fitzroy Island and stayed in a hotel. Our second stay was for a bit of down time having travelled up to Daintree and the Tablelands. We really wanted a bit of relaxation and self cooking so this apartment was perfect. Great food around the pier area. The seafood on the Prawn Star was superb and if you’re self catering, then Woolies has everything you need. The lagoon is perfect for families as is the Muddy Cafe and play park.

Seeing Family and friends is always the highlight of our Townsville stay. We were in town to attend a funeral but enjoyed 2 free days either side of that just catching up with family. Particularly enjoyed the Castle Hill goat track walk. Not an easy walk, but you are rewarded with a wonderful view of Magnetic and other surrounding Islands.

Disappointed with not a lot of Gluten Free options advertised on the Menus at the restaurants. Feel it needs something more. Mostly food places less other stores. Lovely and clean awesome views. Loved the trip we took to Whitehaven Beach words can't describe it.

We visited during the annual festival of flowers.

We visited during the annual festival of flowers. Gardens are lovely. There's also interesting things to do for train enthusiasts. Plenty of shopping and dining options without the stampede of big cities. I was pleasantly surprized by the amount of green spaces and parks. Plenty of space to read a book, picnic or just walk through parks. Lovely museum and cafes to suite your needs

Port Douglas is a very friendly place.

Port Douglas is a very friendly place. Shop owners love to chat. There are many tours available out to the Great Barrier Reef and snorkelling at the Low Isles. The Lady Douglas River cruise is exceptional value. Food tasting tours available. Explore The Daintree and Mossman Gorge. Or just relax in one of the many great pubs and restaurants in MacrossanStreet, Paddy's Bar, The Court House, The Iron Bar and the Mexican are a few of our favourites.

Mackay is a beautiful coastal spot, I'm planning another trip there soon. We visited the Marina, and did some shopping at Canelands. We attended an Engagement party with family there and the venue was beautifully set up, staff were so friendly and the weather was beautiful for a swim and fish and chips.

Ok for work travel for one night if you eating out. We booked it as self catering and were very disappointed in the kitchen facilities which let it down badly. The fridge froze all our food even after turning it right down and the safe was broken. Disappointing.

There is something for everyone in Caloundra - from the upmarket Sunday street markets and the shops all in the main street (Bullock St0 to the Moffat Beach Brewery, the Air Museum, the miles of beaches, tracks to walk and the eateries. Our favorite restaurant was the Chinese Holiday Restaurant (108 Bulcock St) with same owners since 1982. The food was sumptuous and you get a decent plate full - value for money *****.
