It was beautiful and compact with plenty things to do, museums to visit and trips to do outwith the city. The Salzburg pass was well worth every penny, I took the 2 day option and saved a lot of money. Bus travel is free for visitors and can be applied for from your accommodation prior to travelling and therefore you can travel from the airport to the city for nothing. The city museum is closed though for the next 2 years but there are plenty of smaller museums to visit. I really enjoyed a seat and a glass of wine at the modern art gallery. I'm not a big fan of modern art but the view from it and the walk to the St Augustines brewery was a must do. It's a magical city.Guest review byBlackwood - 10

The hotel gives the welcome card which is great for free transport. I bought the Innsbruck card as I wanted to do as much as possible and it was well worth the money, several options available and getting it online and onto my phone was very quick and easy. Innsbruck and surrounding villages have so much to offer in so many ways, it’s a great destination with excellent transport linksGuest review byeileen elisabethUnited Kingdom - 10
Interlaken was the “cherry on top” of our European travels.
Interlaken was the “cherry on top” of our European travels. The views were amazing (I’ve never seen 30+ paragliders in the sky…in the ALPs no less!!!), the area was so quaint, the locals friendly; and eating Swiss fondue somehow tastes better from the Alps! Highky recommend cappuccino and breakfast at the Aarburg (Tim & His Wife are awesome & The food not only tastes amazing but each dish is a work of art!) and the Boutique Hotel Bellevue.Guest review byRichardUnited States - 10

A great place to visit. Lots of things to see and do. The Gornergrat train was superb with spectacular views of The Matterhorn. Walked to The Gorner Gorge and then along it. Great walk with fabulous views.Guest review byAmandaUnited Kingdom - 10

Lugano is a nice little town with all facilities and transportation points near at hand. Monte Bre and Monte San Salvatore are excellent points to visit with breathtaking panoramic views. We also did a day trip to Morcote which was also very nice specially Scherrer's Park. Back in Lugano, Parco Ciani and Piazza Riforma are excellent places to hang around and have meals. We had some excellent Ticinese food at La Tinera which is not to be missed if one wants to sample the regional cuisine.Guest review byAbhijit ChakrawartiIndia - 10

Would like to go back prepared to do the walks and hikes in the area. The old city and market were charming. Loved the Archeology museum and learning about Otzi the Iceman. Cable car and train a great introduction to the possibilities available for future visits.Guest review byKellyCanada - 10
The walk around the lake is great to do either way.
The walk around the lake is great to do either way. A visit to the castle is a must. Vintgar Gorge is stunning and the walk back into Bled is easy to follow. Definitely visit Bohinj area whilst staying in Bled. You can’t cycle around the lake however the walk is lovely and you can get the electric boat back across the lake as an option. A fabulous place to visit!Guest review byJane BooAustralia - 10

Grindelwald is definitely a place to visit and stay if you want to see the mountains up close. It is a comfortable and cozy little town which has cable cars to take you up in the mountain where there are activities like Zip Line and Tobogganing. It is very accessible by Bus and Trains. There are many restaurants with multiple cuisines available.Guest review byBharatUnited Arab Emirates - 10
Our stay was for 3 days in October.
Our stay was for 3 days in October. Unfortunately in October attractions including most cable cars and the Mer de Glace are closed. But our visit to the Aiguille du Midi made our stay - we had great weather and the views from the Aiguille were amazing! Chamonix is a beautiful town. We enjoyed seeing Mont Blanc up-close. We enjoyed our hikes in the mountains near Chamonix.Guest review byDianeUnited States - 10
This is one of those towns you need to keep coming back to.
This is one of those towns you need to keep coming back to. We love GP for a weekend getaway. We always ride the train in and get around by foot (or bus) after we're there. Go in every season...there's always something wonderful to experience.Guest review bynivmanGermany
