- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 683 reviewsCertainly one of the most wonderful hotels I've ever been! It's located close to the center of Izola - a car is not needed (nor recommended) to visit it. From the back entry, the Dolphin Beach is just a few steps away. It's a rocky shore, but there are several stairs into the water. The inside pool is filled with salty water, which is great. Italy is not far away, you can see Trieste across the sea. In the town, everbody seems to be able to speak Italian. The vew from the balcony is outstanding.Guest review bySven Boris SchreiberGermany

Staff is so polite and friendly. Check it went very smooth. Our room was clean and very comfy. Bed was soooooo good. We slept like baby's. And the view from the balcony is absolutely amazing. Breakfast was very good with so many variations. We enjoyed out time at Bernardin hotel once more.Guest review byBenko B.Austria

I'd like to that Laura (host/receptionist) for being positively sneaky by booking us a room right next to our family that was also staying in the hotel (we did not make any plans beforehand).Guest review byAndrejCroatia

I don't think we have ever eaten as well on a short city break as we did in Dubrovnik. The cafes, restaurants and bars were excellent. We particularly loved the Carmen Trattoria. I would recommend a trip on the cable car for superb views of the city, coast and mountains and a walk around the city walls is a 'must do'. The city is perhaps a little more expensive than we expected and gets very crowded especially when there are cruises in the nearby harbour.Guest review byHAC911United Kingdom - 10.0

We spent 4 days in Split and had a wonderful time, the old town is a lovely place and benefits from being on the flat. We had a long walk out to and over Marjan Hill which was well worth the effort. There are many small beaches in the area that are beautiful for swimming in as the water is remarkably clear water. All in all we had a lovely time. Including the Apartment that we stayed in.Guest review byAlisonUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Great city. perfect old town and most importantly the promenade was simply beautiful. Just the right level of tourists - did not feel overwhelmingly crowded. Brilliant sunsets. Well connected for local sights such as Plitvice National Park, Kornati National Park, Nin town (not to be missed).Guest review byParitoshUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We hired electric bikes and rode across the city, which has lots of historical sites. The people are friendly and welcoming. The food is also amazing here. There are local homemade foods too. We came in September and it was still warm enough to tan but not so hot you couldn’t enjoy walking or exercising.Guest review byVictoria Doncha KnoUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Really liked the small old town in Budva.
Really liked the small old town in Budva. It doesn't get too many tourists ( like Kotor) so is less crowded and more tranquil. I didn't like the fact you had to pay to walk along a part of the walled town. There are lots of small food places there (selling pizza, sandwiches, byreks, cakes), which is great and absent in lots of these type of places.Guest review byjohnUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The town is blessed by a glorious setting, the emerald green bay with steep mountains as a dramatic backdrop. The town itself is graced with more stylish Venetian palazzos that you can shake a stick at. But Kotor also suffers from the curse of colossal cruise ships, which can flood the tiny town with hundreds of tourists at once, even in October. There are lovely walks either side of the bay with cafes that have the most scenic views imaginable. It's a good way to get away from the crowds and to enjoy the spectacular panorama. If I had my time again, I would spend three nights in Kotor instead of six and spend at least two nights in Perast, an improbably picturesque spot.Guest review byMarkUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The town was perfect size so walking is easy for everyone.
The town was perfect size so walking is easy for everyone. Please note the cobbled streets can be a little slippery so fancy high heeled shoes are a No-No! The local people are kind and friendly and everyone is catered for. Little tip:- book restaurants early to avoid disappointment not obtaining a reservation.Guest review byjohn allardUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beautiful city! Be sure to check out Leo the cat! hangs out around the Amphitheatre, you can leave him a Google review! Food Places worth eating at:- Pulacinka (Waffle place) Smoked BBQ Rustica It is easy to use the bus service but depending how far you visit they are not very frequent. We visited Fazana pretty easily though.Guest review byPhilip - 10.0

I have been visiting Poreč for more than 10 years, and it is always a wonderful experience. It’s a very beautiful town with a charming atmosphere, lovely beaches, and plenty to see and do. Every visit feels special, and I will definitely keep coming back.Guest review byAtenaSlovenia - 8.0
A very nice town and the coast line offers much to explore.
A very nice town and the coast line offers much to explore. The downside is how to get there - I had to fly from Trieste and all travellers struggled to find a nearby airport that connects to convenient departure airports.Guest review byCarlo EugenioSwitzerland
