It was a hot night and the staff put our beds outside the tents, sleeping under the stars and full moon night was above and beyond our expectations. Camel rides were a little pricey but ya gotta do it. Diner and breakfast were traditional and plentiful. We will be back!

One of the most beautiful sunsets ever, good buffet dinner & breakfast & fire at night with the stars above was a highlight! Bathrooms are clean, just a bit smelly, I guess that is not to be avoided in a place so secluded! Bed and tent were spacious and comfortable.

This is how you do the business! Owner and other employees were kind, helpful and told us about omani culture and history. Tents were really comfy, bedsheets clean and the second smaller tent with bathroom was as well really well equipped. The hotel in itself is gorgeous, tucked in the middle of palmtrees as well as the pool. The room was well decorated and confortable. The staff is amazingly attentionate, kind and helpful. There even is a cute little café in the hôtel to get drinks by the pool or the terrasse.

When we saw the location of most of the other camps-one next to the other..not really in the desert-you really want to stay at a place a little further away from it all like Moon Light Camp. The food is great, the fireplace in the evening is cosy, the private pool is clean and the whole environment is like in a boutique hotel. The staff book the SUV for you to watch the sunset in the desert - the service is top on. We’ve stayed with 2 little children and everything seemed enjoyable. P.S. Don’t get scammed by the drivers who are hunting the tourists offering their services - the Alsaif camp has built the perfect road, the supervisor provides you the detailed instructions, so you won’t get lost.
