I have visited mote than 30 countries and Hotels and this one was definitely my favourite. I am sad we left and I already miss this place, asking my husband to come back as soon as possible. It was tucked away and quiet but also in close proximity to just about everything. Town and beaches within walking distance. The beds were so comfortable. Stefano and staff were very attentive. We asked with help decorating and getting a cake for our niece's birthday, and they went above and beyond. We would definitely stay here again.

The property is set in a serene, idyllic location with lush surroundings that immediately put you at ease. A highlight for me was the presence of two friendly donkeys that roam the grounds—they added such a charming and peaceful vibe to the stay! I traveled without children but brought along my small dog, who was warmly welcomed. The proprietor was incredibly hospitable and multilingual, which made communication effortless. She’s also a certified tour guide for the Dominican Republic, and her local knowledge was invaluable. She even assisted us with arranging a car rental, which made getting around much easier. The accommodations are individual bungalows—clean, spacious, and thoughtfully laid out with private bathrooms. I also really appreciated the communal kitchen and dining area, which included a lovely porch where guests could relax, cook, and connect. Fata Morgana has a calm, authentic charm that’s perfect for those looking to unwind and experience the true spirit of Las Terrenas. I would absolutely stay here again.

Situé sur le front de mer de Las Galeras, l'Hotel Villa Serena propose des jardins luxuriants et une piscine extérieure. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant even with our lack of Spanish. Gustavo and the bar/food staff were a pleasure to see every day while enjoying an amazing location on the water. Thank you!

Our stay at this villa just outside Las Terrenas was truly special. The house sits high on a mountain overlooking the town and the sea, a peaceful spot, yet only a short drive from the center. The hosts welcomed us with genuine warmth and were ready to help with anything we needed, from local tips to directions. Their friendliness really made us feel at home. The view is absolutely breathtaking the photos don’t do it justice. Whether during the day with the ocean in the distance or at night with the city lights below, it’s spectacular. The villa has plenty of space to relax. The rooms are simple but have everything you need: a comfortable bed, hot shower, and airconditioning. At night you’ll hear the full soundtrack of the tropics frogs, crickets, and other wildlife which adds to the experience. The hosts live on the property and have a few friendly animals, which gives it a genuine BnB atmosphere rather than a standard rental feel. Breakfast was one of the highlights: fresh fruit, pancakes, homemade bread, juice, coffee or tea, and eggs cooked to your liking by the host. A perfect way to start the day while enjoying the view. Overall, this was a peaceful and memorable stay, ideal for travelers who want to unwind, enjoy nature, and still be close enough to explore Las Terrenas. Highly recommended!
