From the moment we arrived, Daisy, the heart and soul of this place and the rest of the staff welcomed us with a warmth that went far beyond hospitality. Their care and attention to detail made us feel not just accommodated, but genuinely looked after. At times, we’d find ourselves chatting with the other family members and staff, sharing stories, or picking fresh fruit right from the trees in the garden. Each of us had our own cabin, and they were just what we needed spacious , comfortable, and open to the lush surroundings. The sounds of the ocean and the songs of the birds drifted in naturally. We especially loved reading in the hammocks just outside the cabins on the balconies, swaying gently in the afternoon breeze. The location is also perfect, just a stone’s throw from the beach, and close enough to town that we could walk in for lunch or dinner, but far enough that it still felt like a world of its own. Like being in a town away from the town. Our stay at Cabañas Iracas del Mar was more than just a holiday it felt like a journey into the heart of Nuquí’s natural beauty and the deep, quiet generosity of its people. If you’re looking for a place that offers both solitude and connection, peaceful rest and enriching excursions, this is a destination that truly has it all.

Some accommodation includes a balcony with sea views, a fully equipped kitchen and a private bathroom with shower. Popochos Beach was super nice, the hotel is really well kept and clean. Hugo, Neila and the women who cook are really nice and help you with everthing you need. I enjoyed my stay there a lot.

Some units feature a balcony and/or a patio with sea views. The host were so incredibly friendly and nice. They greeted me with a coconut with a flower in it when I arrived and prepared coconuts for me often when I came back from a day. The room was right in front of the beach so I could go to sleep listening to the waves crash and watch the sunset from the hammock on my front porch. I was there during the low tourist season so it was very peaceful and quiet and this place is located between the two towns (about a 15 min walk to each town) so it was maybe the most peaceful place I’ve ever been. They also keep the grounds very clean, are very helpful with any questions, and Pengo is an excellent chef!

Located in Capurganá in the Choco region, Mi Cabaña El Maderal has a garden. It is situated 400 metres from Capurganá Beach and features a lift. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. You were with family. Willie and his family were great to stay with! He had great insight on the area and things to do. Places to see. Breakfast was great in the mornings as we hung out on the balcony. Loved the hammock!! Wifi was great as long as the power was on. It’s in a rural quieter part of capurgana. You definitely get the authentic Colombian experience. We enjoyed are week stay:) I’m gonna miss it and look forward to a return visit:)

Located on the beachfront in Bahía Solano, Refugio Mr Jerry Eco House features a terrace. Featuring sea and inner courtyard views, this guest house also provides guests with free WiFi. The guest house has family rooms. It was an amazing experience, full immersion in the nature. You can only reach this gem by boat. Waking up with the sound of the waves. Fresh fish every meal. We did various tours organised by the staff. Adrian and Lina are wonderful, always ready to help and share their knowledge with us. They organised for us the whale tour, we saw the whales and the dolphins as well, it was breathtaking. There are 3 dogs and a beautiful cat in the hostal, super sweet.

Set just 500 metres from Capurganá Beach, Cabañas Luna Escondida offers accommodation in Capurganá with access to a garden, a bar, as well as full-day security. This pet-friendly guest house also has free WiFi. Beautiful spot, secluded but not to far from town. Staff are so lovely 10/10. They made us breakfast really early due to our boat. Very hospitable. Lemonade on arrival was a bonus. Clean room, lots of space. Bed was comfortable. Out door shower was really nice!

Everything was really clean and well maintained. The hostel also worked with different tour providers so you could explore the jungle, waterfalls and beaches nearby. What more could you ask for!
