The property was located very centrally with a great view of the Church of Nativity, which looked exceptional at night. The hosts were very welcoming and gave great tips and insights into Bethlehem. I would definitely return!

Lovely, authentic accommodation in a peaceful location surrounded by lemon trees. Huge double room with en-suite. Bed very comfortable & perfectly clean. There is a very large kitchen/ sitting room area with Tv & washing machine next door. As a solo traveller I felt very safe there. Exceptional host Soad goes out of her way to make sure you have everything you need.

Nice common spaces, chill vibe in the hostel

We loved our stay in Sami Hostel. All adventurous travelers should stay here. It’s located in a refugee camp, it’s absolutely safe to walk around and a shared taxi stop is right in front of the hostel, it takes only 5 minutes to get to Jericho center and it runs very often. It’s a perfect place to see the real life of Palestinians. Sami hostel has fast Wi-Fi, basic facilities but you find everything you need here. Owner is friendly and very helpful - he picked us up when we arrived which we appreciated. The view from roof is absolutely gorgeous.

If you are looking for a stay in an authentic building, this is the place for you. The room I stayed in was like a mini hobbit room. The ceiling is very low, so if you are tall, you will have to watch your head, if you stay in this specific room. It was nice and cosy. There is a TV with some great arab channels that will show you the beauty of the land and culture, also insight into what is and has been happening in Palastine. The location was great. It was right next to the mosque of Omar and the church of nativity. It can be a little noisy outside until around 12-1am but I had some ear plugs and slept well. The beds were comfortable, and there is a heater you can use if you get cold. The host was amazing. You can get his WhatsApp number, and he will come to you if there are any issues or if you need any help. I will definitely come back here. The locals are all so helpful and friendly and will make you feel welcome. There is street food around the corner, I paid 15 ILS (apox 4.50) for falafel and fresh orange juice. Saamii, the local tea man, has all kinds of fresh herbs and Arabic coffee he will receive whatever money you can give him but 4 to 5 ILS is good ✨️ Restaurants may be more expensive. TRAVEL: From Jerusalem to Bethlehem, you can get bus number 231 opposite Damascus gate. It costs 5.50 ILS (£1.50) for a single trip. You get off at the last stop. This bus will take you straight into Bethlehem, not to Racheal's Tomb. When you get there, you can walk 25 minutes to the hostel, or you can get a taxi close to the hostel but only pay 20 ILS (£5) and no more. On the way back, it is the same bus stop to get back into Jerusalem, and you will stop at a checkpoint on the way back, so make sure you have your blue tourist card and passport ready. Highly recommend experience ✨️

I was extremely impressed with the welcoming atmosphere that I received from Mr Solomon and his entire family 👪 I was assisted with all requests for information about planning a visit to Holy sites and charged a fair rate. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Plaza Apartments for its comfortable and spacious rooms, and most of all its cleanliness. The food was absolutely 💯 percent exemplary, beautiful fresh vegetables from Mr Solomon's greenhouse and an invitation from Mr Solomon to tour his wonderful verity of fresh vegetables in the greenhouse. I can only say that I most definitely would recommend The Plaza Apartments Bethlehem for anyone interested in the Holiday of a Lifetime. God bless 🙏 you Mr Solomon and all your family 👪 amen 🙏
