This small hotel is set about 10 mins walk from the main gate into Bardia National Park. The bungalows are set well back from the small road hence they are very quiet indeed. The bungalows are spaced out so you are not bothered by noise from anyone else. The bungalow was well constructed with a spacious bathroom and air conditioning if needed. The two single beds were very comfortable. The hotel has a small restaurant and bar set in the garden. There is a good choice on the menu and food arrives in good time . It is cooked exactly as you asked for. The staff were exceptionally friendly helpful and informative. They organised our pickup to and from the airport and organised two walking tours in the forest with their resident guide who was so helpful. They also cooked some great food to take into the park as a small picnic. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to others.

Shardul and Ankita (and others as well) were very helpful and friendly. It is a good place to combine relax with jungle explorations: one day you explore and get impressions (and Shardul will definitely help you to see tigers and other animals), another day you just sit on a terrace relaxing and go for breakfast/lunch/dinner from time to time. Then you can repeat :-) The hosts will help you with everything you want.

recently had the pleasure of staying at Wild Planet Eco Retreat in Bardia National Park, and it was an unforgettable experience. The eco-friendly rooms, crafted with local materials, reflected a genuine commitment to sustainability. The entire team, comprised of dedicated local workers, demonstrated a sincere passion for wildlife conservation. The highlight of my stay was the guided jungle walk with Baba, an exceptionally skilled guide and photographer. His professionalism and ability to capture stunning wildlife moments left me in awe. Baba's dream of creating awareness about wildlife and its importance to people is truly commendable. This retreat is a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts, offering not just a comfortable stay but also a chance to connect with nature in a meaningful way. I wholeheartedly recommend Wild Planet Eco Retreat to anyone seeking a unique and immersive experience in harmony with nature.Supporting local businesses like this, driven by a genuine commitment to conservation, is crucial. My stay at Wild Planet was not only enjoyable but also a contribution to the preservation of our precious wildlife. Kudos to the entire team for creating a haven for both visitors and the environment.

If you would like to stay in a true Nepali homestay, Nanu and Kali’s place is amazing. They offer a very pure, yet comfortable experience. They have two rooms for rent, and live on the property themselves. Nanu will be able to guide you on hiking safari’s as well for a good price. Apart from that the food is amazing. :) Would 100% recommend anybody looking for a Nepali experience to go here!

A beautiful place! The garden is lovely and the rooms look great. We were in the jungle with the owner, Papu, for many days. He is a very skilled guide with excellent English, who doesn't only have a lot of knowledge of the animals and plants, but also cares about safety and the wellbeing of the animals we observed. We were very lucky to even see two tigers on different days with him. I really appreciated his knowledge of birds too. Very happy to have had you as our guide Papu!

The owner is a very experienced safari guide. On the jungle walk and jeep safari he offers I was able to see wild rhinos, elephants and even a tiger. He is also very helpful (gave good recommendations, helped book the bus back to Kathmandu...). Food, especially fried rice with omelette for the jungle walks, is just amazing. Can only recommend.

Staff were amazing Property simple but met all my needs. Superb location close to entrance to Bardia National Park. Staff at the lodge were very helpful, lodge comfortable and food good. The activities (the reason you go to a venue like this) were outstanding. Our guide saw to our every need, and we were able to see a magnificent range of birds and animals. They appreciated what we wanted to see and tried extra hard to allow us these opportunities.

The Host offered to pick me up from the main road and when I arrived at the location I got my room (house) and food right away. The family who runs the place was always friendly and super helpful. I just had two nights before my visa expired, so the first evening when I arrived I planed a jungle hike and a stay over in a tree house in the jungle for the next day with the host. Everything was super easy to plan and the two days were great. Also the talks with the family were exciting and interesting.
