Food was great. Facilities were great, it was busy because we went during the school holidays so the pool was busy at times and the water park is great! Kids had a blast. Would definitely go again.

The cabin was very clean and very comfortable and the accommodation grounds had a very relaxed, welcoming and safe atmosphere. The toilets and showers were kept in impecible condition. Furthermore, the staff are wonderful. The lady who checked us in was warm and friendly and when our taxi didn't arrive to bring us to our bus, the young man at reception gave us the number of an alternative taxi company who sorted us out immediately. Excellent service!

Beautiful little spot, close to mission beach and other great spots! It was very quiet with the added bonus we could bring our dogs!

From the moment we stepped through the door, The Lake House wrapped us in a feeling of calm, comfort, and wow-factor charm. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered — from the interior design to the breathtaking lake view — creating a perfect balance between modern style and peaceful nature. We were lucky enough to be the very first guests, and after staying in several places around Mission Beach over the years, this one easily takes the top spot for us. It’s more spacious than the photos suggest, yet it still feels cosy and inviting. The main bed is enormous and unbelievably comfortable — we all said it was the best sleep we’ve had in years. Even the daybed was bigger than expected and perfect for lounging or for our extra guest — it comfortably fit someone 175cm tall. The entire home was spotless when we arrived — it felt fresh and beautifully maintained. We arrived on a rainy day, which actually made the stay even better. Watching the rain roll in over the lake while curled up inside was incredibly relaxing — this place is magic in both sunshine and storms. One of the most memorable moments was sipping our morning coffee in bed when a young cassowary casually wandered past the bedroom doors. It was such a peaceful, surreal experience — a real privilege to witness such an iconic and rare creature from the comfort of bed. Moments like that really set this place apart. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook and settle in, and the thoughtful extras — like coffee and tea, ice ready in the freezer, sunscreen, citronella candles, bug spray, and books — show how much care has gone into hosting. We appreciated being able to stay in and prepare meals while still soaking up the surroundings. Jo and Ro were lovely hosts — very quick to reply and incredibly helpful with extra info, including a thoughtful heads-up about shop closures over the public holiday so we didn’t miss out. That extra attention really made our stay smooth and easy.

The home provided the perfect blend of comfort and charm, making it feel like a true home away from home for our family. From the cozy accommodations to the thoughtful touches throughout, every detail was meticulously attended to.

It was as pictured, very clean, well appointed for a family, great position across the road from the beach, skate park, water park and playground equipment. Very little noise even over Easter. Perfect for our 2 old dogs also.

Close to the beach. Easy to find. Clean and comfortable. Will visit again. 😊
