Everything was perfect. This place is a hidden gem, a true Eden. One of the best spots I’ve ever stayed at on an island. It’s located about 10 minutes by car from the city center (a car is a must in the island). The place was spotless, the breakfast was amazing and dinner as well. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional. The views and the peaceful atmosphere were the highlights of our stay. Quiet and secure.

Amazing views and delicious local food served in the restaurant. We were also helped to organise a tour with a guide in Obo park starting from Jardim Botanico. All in all, I would surely stay again in Roça Saudade

The grounds were beautiful. The place was clean and comfortable. The pool so refreshing and peaceful - perfect for cooling off each night. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Kitchen access was very convenient for preparing meals, along with a nice dining and living room area for relaxing, or socializing with other guests. Luis was always available to address any issues or answer any questions. We were able to keep our bags safely locked at the House while venturing over to Principe for 5 days, then return for another 3 days’ stay at Casa Luis. Luis made our trip to São Tomé seamless, pleasant and memorable.

We could see the sea from our huge balcony, everything you might wish for was exactly where it should be, we received the best breakfast on the island and dinner was also very good and not too expensive. Bike hire, late checkout (including the use of an outdoor shower), money exchange and guides were all possible. The room was huge and very quiet.
