From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly and helpful owner and his amazing family, who ensured a warm welcome and served for us delicious lunch (the dining experience was truly a delight). One of the highlights of this homestay is its’ beautiful view from the terrace: you can sea the Lovers Leap waterfall and tea plantations (walking distance). The room is spacious and cosy, even with the patchwork rug on the floor. There’s also a nice common living room. Overall, our stay at S and D Homestay was exceptional. The combination of the hospitable family, delightful meals, beautiful view and the refreshing cool air made it a remarkable experience.

The country house has family rooms. A quiet, very nice place close to the forest, but only about a 10 mins walk from the city. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, the shower was the best! There's a shared kitchen at the guests disposal, and there are nice, big common spaces. Our host, Madusanka, was really helpful, very attentive and very nice. He carried my daughter to the car when she wasn't feeling well, he asked our driver to stop at the pharmacy, and he even messaged me afterwards to ask how my daughter was doing. Thanks for your help! He keeps the house in order and running it very well. Highly recommend this place!

Sanjaya and his family are so friendly and service minded. He picked us up at the train station and spent the day showing us some great places, including a tea factory. We really enjoyed our stay. Chaminda is an excellent host. He is very knowledgeable about the area and gave us lots of accurate, up to date information about the area and things to do (much more up to date information than we were able to find online). The rooms are spacious, clean and tidy. The bedding is nice, warm and cosy – perfect for the slightly cooler weather in Nuwara Eliya. The shower had good hot water. The breakfast was nice and always on time each morning. We’d happily stay again.
