A very peaceful and beautiful place to stay. The cottage is very spacious and the bathroom is great! They have put a lot of effort in the design of the whole property so it feels like such a special place to be. The view on the lake is beautiful and never boring. Restaurant service is perfect and the food was nice.

the property is secluded and within a rural part of Rwanda and is simply magical. 1 day is simply not enough time, i recommend a min. 2 day stay so you can really rest and enjoy the property. there’s lots of nature around you and a lot of activities you can do like kayaking, massage, a community walk and bird watching so there’s plenty that you can do while also ensuring you relax. the food was really amazing, especially the communal dinner, the bed was super comfortable and there was plenty of hot water! honestly there’s nothing to fault - it was the perfect stay.

Rutete Eco Lodge is a great place to stay to discover the eastern region of Rwanda. The entrance of Akagera Park is at 20 minutes, which is nice for early safaris. The rooms are big, the bedding is comfortable. The common spaces are lovely decorated, the diner and breakfast were great, and the owner is so kind ! It was a pleasure to spend some time talking to her :) Do not hesitate to book in Rutete, one of the best hotels I've been to during my 2 weeks of holidays in Rwanda
