Just a beautiful house. We were placed in the house behind the restaurant. It is like living in your own home. The restaurant manager , a Brazilian lady, was just chirpy and accommodating. The place is about 6kms from Valdall town enroute to trollstigen. Should try the sponge cake with strawberry sauce….not sweet!!!!

Staff were exceptionally helpful in organising my trip across the fjord (e.g., times, buses), really friendly and courteous. Clean room, with all the essentials to rest after a full day of hiking. I had a wonderful time at Valldal Fjord Lodge B&B and would recommend it

Perfectly clean, spacious, nicely decorated family hotel. Everything is great condition. Beautiful territory. But most important - lovely host Ole, who made us feel really welcomed and organized atmospheric candlelight dinner experience in their “viking” house. One of those exceptional places where you instantly feel at home and wish you'd booked an extra night. This guesthouse has all the grandeur and comfort you would expect when travelling a 100 years ago: from staff who carry your bags to your room, give you an introduction to the hotel and amenities available, to the lovely dinner and breakfast we enjoyed. In every review there should be something positive and something negative. So, let’s get the negative out of the way first: the only thing we found unpleasant in this house was, that we only stayed for one night! Now the positive(s !!): Friendliness of the hostess 11 out of 10. Facilities and standard of the house excellent!!! Everything is freshly renovated and the standard is way… way above average, putting it modestly. To put this review in perspective we stayed in several 4 & 5 star hotels during our road trip throughout Norway, this is better - 5-star superior in our opinion! You can park the car figuratively in the front door! Only 1 meter! The highlight is the newly build, spacious terrace with a view which is so fabulous that it makes you forget time. One thing you should bring with you for this terrace is a sturdy supply of wine, red or white is up to you ;-) Fazit: We enjoyed our stopover tremendously!!!
