Ranjith, the owner was there to welcome us. He was very friendly. I informed him that there was an extra child and he can charge us for an extra guest but he said it was ok and did not charge extra. He showed the kitchen which was separate and told us if we wanted anything at all to call him. Lake Bliss has a bit of a jungle atmosphere which we liked. There was peacock around which we liked and a jungle frog which we tolerated.

A very ascetic and natural place. wild garden, simple but very tasty cuisine, meals served in natural dishes. Rooms very clean, nice and comfortable. the staff tried very hard to please us, especially to our fussy children who don't like to eat everything. because there were not many guests in the facility, we were provided with a larger and more comfortable room for the price of a smaller one. it was very nice. I wish we had used the whole Ayurveda package, I am sure it would have been a wonderful experience. a stay in such conditions is a real rest for the mind

It is so beautiful there and Ruwan and his family are absolutely amazing hosts. It is walking distance from a selection of local restaurants which is amazing and every morning you get a beautiful breakfast which varies between Sri Lankan cuisine and a hint of western. Very friendly owners! They make you feel welcome right away. They suggested several activities in the area and arranged a tuktuk for us. They were ready to answer questions and help out at any time and made sure we were ok. Breakfast is great and varies every day with local dishes. Swimming pool is very nice to relax after a hot day.
