Our family stayed here for three nights. We had an amazing time! Situated on a ridge above the village, Aranka Tempasan offers wonderful views of Mount Rinjani in the background. Reached via a macadam path, it feels like you've entered another world when you arrive. There are also various activities on offer with a local guide. We visited an authentic local village and took a trip into the nearby jungle to see the waterfalls. We also took a painting course. The owner, Berry, is very warm-hearted and has a great sense of how to run the business. Together with the very kind staff, he runs the business as a community. Needless to say, the food is delicious, too. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to relax in nature and experience the local way of life.

Wow, this is quite the treasure! One of the best places i have stayed in my travels. The cabin is super comfortable and clean and exceptional value for money. Fathul is an incredible host going out of his way to make sure I felt at home and had everything I need. It's just a small place so you really feel like you are staying with a family which for me is very special when travelling and trying to get to know new cultures. Breakfast was very yummy! Its nestled amongst the rice paddies and is super tranquil. Fathul despite being young is a keen gardner and has done so well creating a beautiful environment. I highly highly recommend this place. We absolutely loved our stay here! The surroundings were so peaceful and beautiful, with relaxing nature and a lovely riverside view. The host family was incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home and treating us like part of their own family. We had booked for 2 nights but loved it so much that we extended our stay by another day. Highly, highly recommend this place — we would definitely love to visit again!

The building is a marvellous traditional wooden building. The staff are wonderful. Beds huge and super comfortable. They have a gymnasium! They have lovely garden and great rice paddy views. The food was traditional Indonesian food and was excellent. Air con was great. Rooms are huge. The place is a real hidden little gem.

We had a truly incredible three days at the villa and with Abdi, who was there for us throughout our stay. If you're looking for a truly authentic experience, this is the perfect place. From the moment we arrived, Zar and Ros welcomed us like members of their own family. Zar is funny and speaks good English, and his wife is an incredible cook — every meal and snacks was a treat (let’s say we ate way too much during our stay but holiday holiday 😂). Life with them is simple and genuine. Everything is included — three delicious meals a day, water, tea, coffee, and snacks — so you can just relax and follow the family's rhythm. One day, they invited us to join them and their extended family to the beach, which turned into an unforgettable memory. We also visited a local pool, I went to the barber with Zar and even got to see chicken fights. To fully embrace the experience, we recommend staying at least two or three days. It gives you the time to truly connect with the local lifestyle and the people. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a private bathroom. They even did our laundry for us, which was such a kind gesture. We had a wonderful time with this family and really hope others will have the chance to share in this special experience. The secluded location close to nature. Beautiful location right at the sea. Fantastic view. Quiet, the feeling of being off the grid. Part of that was because of the fact that electricity and WiFi isn’t available at all times. This is rare these days and we loved it! Food was very delicious and staff very sweet and caring. Very peaceful and zen.
