Incredibly friendly staff. Will help you with anything you need, even when you don't necessarily ask for it. While cooking, we where opening a can of diced tomatoes with a pocket knife, and the lady saw us struggle and gave us a can opener. Little things like that really warmed out hearts. The room itself is nice. On the smaller side, but since there's a big communal area you won't need much space. The kitchen was also nice. They've got pretty much all you should need. Once again it's the communal living room adjacent to it that did it for us. Towels and soap included, and there's a tv in the room (if you'd ever want to use it). Breakfast is 't included, can be ordered. It was tasty and filling, but a little more expensive than elsewhere (we paid 50Q for the biggest plate I believe).

The rooms were enormous. We were a group of three people. The staff was very welcoming and guided us to what we can do while we stayed there. They were so nice to allow us to go to the top roof and take a beautiful picture of the volcano and lake Atitlán. It was breathtaking view. We felt very safe on our stay.

Even it is not the cheapest place you can get, you most definitely get more than you are expecting. The bathroom was the biggest surprise. It comes with a free standing tub from where you have a really nice view over the lake and the volcano on the opposite lake side!

The grounds of this hotel are spectacular! It is right by the dock, so it is easy to walk to the property. The restaurant is very reasonably priced, considering that there are not a lot of options for dining (we were on foot). The food is exceptional, and plenty of it comes from their organic garden, of which we had a lovely tour. The hotel website offers full details of how community minded and eco-friendly this business is. The pool looks odd because it is dark. However, I imagine it helps heat the water, along with the solar panels. If you are looking for a couple of days in paradise, this is the place. And the view from the restaurant 🤩

Our stay at Lake at Sunrise Lago Atitlan was absolutely perfect! My partner and I stayed here, and it was just the right size for two. The internet was super fast, making it ideal for online work and video calls. The view was stunning—mornings by the lake were peaceful and beautiful. What truly stood out was the quiet. Unlike other places we tried, there were no barking dogs or nighttime noise, allowing for deep, restful sleep. The hosts were incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.
