The host is an angel! She was so kind and generous, she drove me several miles away to buy a SIM card for my phone into a supermarket back. I have never had a host do so much for me. The apartment is very cozy.

The reception staff was very accommodating. Room was incredible. Restaurant staff and food very good!

I appreciated the quick communication and the fact that we could check-in a bit early, especially after the volcano hike! The bed is super comfortable and room is very spacious. We would absolutely stay here again!

Set in attractive grounds in a small, typically Guatemalan community just outside (5 minutes by Uber) from the centre of Antigua, with stunning views of hills and volcanoes. Casa Buho is a family run bed and breakfast hotel with exceptional quality rooms. This was a great place to stay as we had already spent a month in town, but would also be good if you want to be away from the noise and bustle of the town.

The property is in a good location close to the Central Park. The building itself is beautiful, with a maze of courtyards, dining rooms, rooftop sitting/eating areas, shops, spa business etc. Our room was compact but beautifully appointed. The hotel provides a water station to reduce the use of plastics. A request for an iron and extra coat hangers was promptly actioned. The bed was very comfortable and we always managed to have restful sleeps. We had a very early start at 3:30am on day -travelling to Copan. Juan Jose was very helpful assisting us in contacting the transfer company when they did not arrive on time. All in all a very nice stay.

We loved the old style character of this hotel which felt very much in keeping with Antigua and its history. This hotel is perfectly based to explore Antigua on foot. The room was spotless clean, breakfast was good and the staff were extremely helpful organising onward travel and giving dining recommendations. We throughly enjoyed our stay.

These services were seamlessly handled by the staff, making our travel plans effortless. The location of the hotel was ideal, boasting a fantastic sky bar with stunning views, which became our favorite spot to unwind in the evenings. Gustavo, the owner, was a gem of a host—kind, gracious, and always ready to help. His attention to detail and dedication to hospitality deeply enriched our stay. The rooms were well-equipped with essentials such as towels, a safe, two fans, and a hair dryer. The combination lock for the room was a clever touch, providing ease and security for group or family travelers.
