Lovely historic cottage - clean, spacious, well appointed and decorated with some period furniture. It was our favorite of all of our accommodations over our 2 weeks in Scotland. It was quiet and peaceful and the setting was idyllic. We loved the walking paths amongst gorgeous trees with views of the countryside. We also loved that we had views of the castle from our windows.

    Location was in the middle of village, Not a busy village so ample parking for car in the street. Room has recently been refurbished, in modern style all toned in nicely. Toilet plumbing and bathroom fittings recently renovated.

    The Commercial is a great rural pub with welcoming and friendly staff. We stayed for a weekend as we were up for a wedding and it was very comfortable with a great breakfast to kick start the day. Car parking is just behind the pub so very convenient.
