This Highland haven was a bijou. Nestled on a Croft, it provided a welcome break from the camper van. It was so comfortable and the thoughtful owners had covered all bases. There was even ice for my G&T ready in the freezer box. The views were truly stunning and the welcome warm. I would not hesitate to recommend the Shepherd’s hut to travellers - we just wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back.

Excellent large hotel on the waterfront. We got a nice room with a view to the sea. Very friendly staff gave us advice on the local restaurants in the nearby city center. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff was very friendly.

I have never given 10 to a b&b in many years of travelling, but this one deserves the maximum rating. The location is superb: among the countryside in a very small village on the South corner of the loch. Hosts are lovely. The room is new, elegant and very comfortable, as every other room in the house. Breakfast is fabulous: you can ask whatever you like and home made, own garden jams, fruits or vegetables (so sweet tomatos!), high quality bacon, sausages and pudding. You can also choose what kind of coffee you want and Stephen, a professionel barista, will make you a high quality coffee. But the most important thing is that you feel as you were part of that home, as every b&b should be. Me and my wife really felt like home and we shared part of culture, life and think of Stephen and Margareth. We left a little piece of our heart there.

Everything about our stay was perfect - our room, our hosts, the location, Croft Cottage as a whole, the breakfast. It was such a fantastic place to stay, and we felt so lucky to have stumbled across it whilst looking for somewhere to book.

Fantastic location by broom loch , small but had everything we needed very well thought out , extras ….Home baked bread and bottle of processco ! Perfect !steve the owner greeted us explained everything we needed then left us to it , really lovely place.
