what a wonderful and peaceful stay in this charming bed and breakfast. the room are large and confortable, the place is quiet and easy to park. The owner is super nice and welcoming. she will prepare you a personalized breakfast and will have a nice chat in the same time. The typical kind of acommodation you would look for whenyou are on a business travel and don't want to go to hotel chains. There was a Sauna that I didn't use but there was one !

The hotel is in a quiet location, but not far from the main through road. There is ample parking for both cars and larger vehicles (a flat bed truck towing a car trailer in our case). The room was clean and comfortable. A mini-bar was provided. The food served in the restaurant is very good in general, but exceptional with regard to the steaks. I had one of the best steaks I have ever had on the second night of my stay. The breakfast buffet was extensive, and of good quality. There is a guest sauna which my Finnish friend was keen to avail himself of. The staff are friendly, and professional and speak English, for those of us not (yet) fluent in Finnish. All in all, we very much enjoyed our stay and on our next trip down from Salla to Jalasjärvi, we will be staying at the Hotel Kurikka again.

It was a quiet and relaxing place that we ended up having for just the two of us. Good shower and kitchen facilities to cook and make breakfast. Wished we had more time there between long festival days!

Absolutely lovely little Bed & Breakfast! Located in a former school building, it is run by a lovely and heartful family whose members can tell a lot of stories about how life was in former days in Finland. We felt at home at once due to warm welcome, our room was more like a home, and breakfast was fresh and tasted great. My advice: try the home made apple jame, absolutely sensational!
