Fantastic beach resort. Staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Breakfast was fantastic and dinners were nice. The bar has great vistas and on the roof there is a telescope so I got to see Saturn and its rings. Rooms have those Japanese automatic toilets which I had never experienced before.

Olga and the whole staff are so sweet, I really could feel at home there after such long flight. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from all the noise in Cartagena, and you feel immediately embraced and relaxed when you walk in

Everything!!! Our stay at the hotel was worth every minute, from the boat ride from the dock to our return. The rooms are super spacious and comfortable, the staff is super friendly, the food is very typical and delicious. If you are looking for a place to really disconnect, relax in front of the beach and enjoy the advantages of being on an island, Islas del Encanto is the place. The hotel is super nice, the staff makes sure you have everything you need and they are quite friendly. The hotel offers tours, we did the Islas Rosario and Snorkeling tours and it was super nice, really recommended.

Hotel Playa Scondida Barú is a rustic-style lodge on Baru Island, 1 hour from Cartagena by motorboat.

The hotel is nice, Caribbean style rooms, nice little pool,a small pier where you can sunbathe and a little piece of beach. The hotel is incredible peaceful as it only accommodate a small number of guests and therefore the attention of the staff is unbelievable. Lucrecia and Sergio especially are amazing and they will help with any requests you have with a kindness that you'll never see anywhere else. The hotel also offers transportation service with a private boat so you can reach nearby tourist attraction( just ask and they will take you anywhere). Very satisfied and will probably visit again.

Me and my family were happy with the staff treatment, they were all the time so welcoming and friendly with all of us. The location is quite convenient, and although there is a lot of people coming to the beach on day trips, after 3 pm it turns into a "quiet" and relaxed place. Food wise it is also so recommended.

The breakfast was good, the location is very good, the staff is great! Would recommend this place for a getaway for a few days! The place is in a more relaxed part of the Playa Blanca so the big crowds aren't at your doorstep the whole time, which is nice too.

This is a perfect quiet place to get away. It feels secluded but only a short drive from restaurants and other more tourist orientated beaches. They were happy to turn off any background music in the restuarant/bar area as the place was not busy at the time I stayed. Staff were exceptionally thoughtful and kind - on one occasion I was watching the sunset and they brought out mosquito spray as they knew I would get bitten. When I originally booked the room I messaged to ask if the room had a fridge which it did not. I like to keep my own drinks and snacks supplied. They went to the trouble of plugging in a fridge outside my room which was great. (I'd suggest keeping a guest fridge available ongoing at the location) Air conditioning in the room worked well and the wi-fi was reasonable but sometimes spotty depending on where you were but I never had a problem messaging people or making calls overall. On the beach seating they had plug sockets at the table areas so you could sit and use a laptop if you wanted too.

Hotel Calamari Baru has a private beach area, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Playa Blanca. Built in 2019, the property is within a few steps of Playa Blanca.
