Welcoming drinks at the arrival, sparkling wine at the room. Spacious room with huge bed and even bigger pillows. Free access to the natural pools. As pools were too cold for us, we enjoyed the jacuzzi zone on the hotel roof. Breakfast was nice, with many fruit options and a nice view. Good value for money.

Featuring a bar, the hotel is close to several noted attractions, around 400 metres from Almirante Reis Beach, less than 1 km from Marina do Funchal and a 8-minute walk from Sao Tiago Fort. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi throughout the property. Miguel was the ultimate host. He provided us with a tour of the property upon arrival and then provided itineraries for each day based on what we wanted to see on the island via our rental car. He was available 24/7 via WhatsApp for any questions including providing a self walking tour of the Christmas lights. The rooftop bar/pool area was very nice with views of the city. Having access to free laundry on the fifth floor was very convenient. The fresh pastries on the doorknob in the morning ❤️

Among the various facilities are an outdoor swimming pool, a shared lounge, as well as a terrace. Guests can enjoy Portuguese dishes at the restaurant or have a cocktail at the bar. Fabulous hotel 10 mins from the port. Large hotel with large rooms/bathrooms and great sea views. Check in was a breeze, extremely polite and helpful reception staff, very happy to share their knowledge and experiences. They have a great rooftop bar by the pool (too cold to swim when I was here), but I did go to the rooftop bar several times. Staff was amazing, made great drinks (try the Poncha!) and always made me feel welcome. Breakfast was phenomenal, huge breakfast room with hot, cold, veggies, local fruits. Competent and polite staff...always very clean, delicious!! Highly recommend this hotel!! 10 stars!

Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, room service and a 24-hour front desk, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The property features a year-round outdoor pool, indoor pool, fitness centre and garden. On arrival, staff took our luggage and gave us a keycard to access the private parking. Our bags were then taken to our rooms after checking in. The view from our room was amazing, however it does not compare to view from the rooftop bar! Breakfast was amazing and the staff were exceptional. Overall 10/10 stay.

The newly renovated 4-star Hotel Baía Azul is ideally situated a 4-minute walk from Funchal’s beachfront. It offers 3 swimming pools, 3 restaurants, a Spa and a sun deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the gardens. Honestly everything! Maybe one of the best hotel stays ever. The sun deck balcony is amazing place to relax and chill, the hotel staff is great, the views stunning. Can’t wait to come back!

Located close to Funchal’s city centre, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Meliã Madeira Mare offers free WiFi, an indoor and outdoor pool and a spa. Its elegantly-furnished rooms offer a balcony and cable TV. When I realized I had forgotten my phone charger at my hotel in Lisbon and started to panic, the staff kindly let me use the reception area to charge my phone. I was truly saved — I do really thank the wonderful female staff member enough for her kindness!

Located in Porto Santo, 300 metres from Porto Santo Beach, The Navigator - Colombus All Inclusive provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Providing a restaurant, the property also has a bar, as well as a sauna. The property is non-smoking and is situated 2.8 km from Quinta das Palmeiras. Navigator is definitely the best hotel in Porto Santo! The staff are incredibly helpful and made our stay even more enjoyable. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and the whole place has such a peaceful vibe — perfect for total relaxation. In the future, I’d suggest making it adults-only, as the only downside was the noise from children in the dining area. The hotel has great potential. We noticed it opened before being completely finished, with a few details still missing, but I’m sure they’ll continue improving and adding the final touches.

The property has a year-round outdoor pool, indoor pool, fitness centre and garden. We loved everything about this hotel. All the staff were lovely and the entire space was beautiful, comfortable and clean. Loved our room - very comfy bed - and the shared areas like the reading room, chess area and the pool! Breakfast was exceptional! Would Love to come back one day.
