Premises, hotel and rooms. Located right in the middle of the Thamel area. Restaurants bars and shops around. The area is quite lively but the hotel is quiet. The room is large, beautifully decorated with a large balcony, the bed is comfortable. Cleaning staff are nice and always have a smile on their faces 🙂 Restaurant: breakfast is enough to choose from with wonderful waiting staff (unfortunately don't know their names) who are helpful and very pleasant in their behavior which makes the breakfast taste even better. The Timber House is a gem in the Thamel district! It is nicely located close to many places of interest, shops, and cafés. It has its own unique style and great jacuzzi bathtubs in the rooms. It also has a small but cozy balcony and a gorgeous rooftop restaurant. The staff was very helpful and polite, especially Ram Prasad, the front desk supervisor, who always provided us with useful information, which was especially important during the days of protests. They took all the necessary precautions to keep the hotel safe during the unrest.

Cleanliness, with a warm, welcoming staff which gives you a personalised attention. They remember your requests and likes. The food is great, including the breakfast buffet. We had an enjoyable dinnertime all the four days of our stay. The dinner time staff at the restaurant are also highly attentive, courteous, and helpful.
