the resort was capturing the essence of sigiriya. it was very accessible (maybe not walkable but drivable) to the sigiriya and pidurangala rock. staff were very hospitable. asela, premod, and the other managers and resort people were very friendly and personable. the property was very unique in terms of natural architecture and planning. the food was exemplary. we had a late arrival and checkin. they were very accommodating and even kept the kitchen open for us. we highly recommend the nasi goreng, and cheese kothu. breakfast platter was huge. we had a lot of local srilankan varieties including the standard continental breakfast. the green soup was very unique . must try. please ask for it. . make sure to wear mosquito repellent as the property is surrounded by nature. beware of google maps taking you through small and dark streets if you travel in the night.

We had an amazing two night stay here at the end of our time in Sri Lanka. The food was incredible, especially the fish salad:). They hooked us up with a tuktuk driver to get us to Sigiriya Rock in the morning, then a Naturalist for an afternoon park tour to see elephants. The safari tour was incredible value and we saw lots and lots of elephants. We enjoyed a morning at the spa as our treat to ourselves before heading off to Kandy then the airport. It also was amazing and we walked out of there feeling like jello. The facilities are brand new, gorgeous, clean and well thought out. The location overlooking the lake in the private mango grove is very peaceful. The staff are helpful and laid back. I knew coming to Sri Lanka that there is a different dynamic vs Canada when it comes to women, and I certainly didn’t come with any intention of imposing my Canadian values here. However, being at this women managed and staffed hotel was a nice change during the trip where I felt like I could speak up and answer questions ahead of my partner without them looking to him for confirmation. Would 100% stay again and highly recommend.

Everything was great. The location is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and very comfy. They food was fantastic, both dinner and breakfast. It's just a 10min drive away from Sigiriya. Also they have the best wifi connection we had in our trip.

The owner was incredibly helpful and advised us well on how make the most of our time in beautiful Sigiriya. He happily drove us wherever we needed to go in his tuk tuk which is a real advantage. While there are some parts of the hotel still being built, the rooms are very clean, cozy, and tastefully furnished. The location is within 200 meters walking distance to several restaurants, etc. and the Lion Rock park is only ~5 minutes away

I rarely write reviews but this hotel… simply wow! First of all the staff! Amazing each and every single person! So professional! We took wooden Cabana, zero ants, clean and tidy, nice design, quite and peaceful outside seating area. Every day we’re back to the room they arrange some fun towels design 🥰 Ayurvedic amenities in the bathroom. Dinner buffet has many options for Europeans, not only Sri Lankan food. Beautiful view at the pool to Sigiriya. Peacocks, squirrels, monkey around the hotel area 🥰 Cycles are on request, there’s nice track around the hotel. Yoga at 6:30am on request. Forgot the name of the master but we enjoyed it so much! Thank you again! As it was just me and my hubby, first time we had a yoga session together and short meditation in the end. It was the highlight of the vacation. Dont miss this hotel! You won’t regret!
