The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. The staff, from the manager to the helpers to the chef, were absolutely polite, accomodating and helpful. Pablo, Blessed, Monica, Elizabeth and Team were outstanding. (I have left out two, and i do apologize if i spelt there names incorrectly.) Martin the game rancher is very knowledgeable and made the game drive exciting and informative. Blessed, the chef, made mouth watering food and all meals were delicious.

We booked for two nights with my sisters who joined me from Botswana, as we came for our cousin's wedding. The housekeeping team is on time. Michael and your team, you are the best!! We wish we had more days to stay.

A terrace can be found at the lodge, along with a shared lounge. I am admittedly biased, since the original house was designed and built in 1960 by my frandfather Casper Krüger, great-grandson of the legendary Paul Krüger, which the present owners have subsequently converted into the 4-star Kassaboera lodge. Having grown up here, several of my cousins and I recently used the occasion of a family reunion to return to this grand old home to rekindly fond memories, wondering if the intervening 60 years had altered any of our recollections at all. What a pleasant surprise it was to discover that the present owners, Manie and Amanda, have done an excellent job here in the restoration of this special place! All the charm of the original house remains, with the high, thatched roof and spacious interior, but now with modern luxuries and conveniences added, such as the beautiful swimming pool and lovely gardens. From here it is still possible to undertake long, leisurely strolls along the lake. Now I am happy in the thought that this remains one of my favorite places on earth.
