He looked after our family helping us gather ski rental and transferring us to and from the ski resort daily. We opted to eat in and the meals were delicious. At the lodge you will find a restaurant serving Asian cuisine. This was my favorite place I stayed in all of Japan!! It felt like being in a mountain hut in the Alps - cozy, homey, and comfortable. There were lots of photos and cute quirky pictures/signs everywhere, and it just had a good feeling to it. The staff were INCREDIBLE, and were the highlight for me. They spoke basic English and I was able to have more in depth conversations with Google translate. They were so friendly and helpful - it made it sad to leave on my last day. The room was very comfortable and clean and had strong air conditioning (very important in Furano in the summer). I stayed in a room with multiple bunk-style beds and a couch, and it had a really wonderful view outside. The shared bathroom was always clean and the shower room had a small onsen in it! The location is very good if you have a car. It’s right by Farm Tomita and a 12 minute drive to Furano and a 25 minute drive to Biei. Plus of course, there’s a donkey!!
