Absolutely amazing and incredible little piece of paradise. I truly fell in love, everything was perfect: the lush nature, the room, the facilities, the restaurant and amazing food, the bar, the staff. The day of my departure I was truly sad to be leaving, but I hope I will come back again, the next time for a much longer stay. Even the departure was a bit magical, as a giraffe greeted us on the road.

I’ll start by saying that this is the best place to stay in Kruger. Although I was initially skeptical about the 5-star rating, I was quickly proven wrong upon our arrival. Location The lodge is situated in the southern part of Kruger, an area particularly rich in wildlife, and overlooks a vast river. From here, you can observe impalas, crocodiles, elephants, and hippos. The view is simply breathtaking! Accommodation We spent two nights in a beautiful room on the first floor, with a magnificent view of the river. It was truly a dream come true. The room was spacious and equipped with every imaginable comfort, including a shower, bathtub, and two sinks, all with a river view. An unforgettable experience. Services and Dining The service provided by the staff was impeccable; everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The afternoon tea in the common area was much appreciated, and the delicious dinners outdoors with a river view deserve special mention. Safari Experience The highlight of our vacation was the full-day safari, accompanied by an exceptional guide who was a biology graduate and deeply passionate about wildlife. Her expertise allowed us to deepen our understanding of every animal we encountered, offering us the chance to calmly observe every detail of life in the park, without rushing (unlike other safaris where you simply take a photo and move on). Overall, staying at Buhala was the most extraordinary experience of our entire vacation. I highly recommend it, as it is a much more intimate lodge compared to others we visited. Later on, we stayed in other lodges, but none were comparable to this one, neither in terms of quality nor price (we paid more for places of lower quality).

It is a very quiet place to stay.

Very close to Malelane gate if you want to enter Kruger Park early in the morning. Good overnight stay. Delicious breakfast

It was all fine, including the view over the river, all kinds of animals passing by, Elefants, Hippos, Springbocks etc. About 10 minutes by car to the entrance of the Krueger park and 35 minutes to the next airport.

The hospitality was exceptional, Sbusiso went an extra mile to make our kids experience the best holiday, the companion and walks. Carrot and Apollo were a great hosts too. The food was great. The overall experience was heart warming, the tranquility ans calmness the venue offers melted our hearts. We will definitely visit again

all round the food and experience was amazing. I never felt like i went hungry and not once did it seem like i needed to report an unhappy experience to the staff. Even the owner came over after the engagement and asked how it went and if the staff were successful with assisting

If Booking.com would offer to give more than 10 points for super extraordinary lodges than we would give here 12 points. Kambaku River Lodge is for a stay close to the Kruger Park just perfect. We spent 5 beatiful nights with delicious breakfast, dinner and wild animals just passing in front. We recommend also to book Kambakus Safari with most experienced Kruger driver.

Kierieklapper was nothing short of exceptional! We were looking for a little bit of luxury while taking in beautiful scenes of the bush and our expectations were definitely exceeded. The layout of the house is great and well set up with all you need during your stay, coupled with a great view (we saw elephant, plenty of buck specie's and even 2 lions walking past!). There is more than enough fridges and packing space for your trip. The host and staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The owners of the property definitely set up the house and included just about everything you could possibly need to make your stay amazing (ice machine, bar fridges, fire wood, inverters for when there's loadshedding, etc.) We were a family of 10 with two kids and every person commented on how amazing the stay was, from the rooms, to the facilities, to the views and how easily you can access the Malelane or Crocodile Bridge gates to the Kruger. We will definitely return to Kierieklapper and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious trip to the bush.
