We don't think that we have enough words to to describe this paradise. It was one of the best accomodations we ever stayed. It is so beautiful decorated, comfortable, spotlessly clean, the most perfect beds! And the views were so amazing as well as the calmness of the whole place after a busy day in Kandy. Punya and Ravi made this stay even more perfect, they are amazing hosts! Punya was so kind and helpful, she made everything went so smoothly. Ravi was the most attentive host, always took care that we have everything that we might (we enjoyed when he waited us in the evening with a cup off tea and coffee). He really went out of his way to make us feel so welcome and comfortable, Ravi also made perfect Sri Lankan breakfast every morning, so delicious, filling and something different every day. Enjoyed it so much! We highly reccoment this place. Amazing stay, thank you Punya and Ravi!

I cannot recommend this place enough. The villa is dreamy, with breathtaking peaceful surroundings, clean and the owners cannot do enough to make sure you have the best say. Firstly we were collected as our Uber driver got lost, then the owners organised dinner both evenings, took us to the elephant sanctuary and arranged a drive to our next destination. It was a trip we will never forget

This is a gorgeous property, full of character and in a great location by the lake. The staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive. Our son was sick during our stay there and Susantha was very kind in arranging special food to be made for him. I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough.

Nice accommodation in Kandy! So, in Kandy, life revolves around the lake. There are basically four sides of it - the crazy hectic side with the train station and the caffes and tourists, the temple side with the world-famous temple of the tooth relic which is also quite busy due to all the visitors, the sightseeing empty promenade side and the far corner of the lake, where the views are great and tourists are few - the quiet side. This side is where the Settle In Lodge is at. It is about 10 minute walk to the temple or 15/20 min walk to the "center" of the town - very pleasant walk by the lakeshore, by the way. I thoroughly enjoyed walking back and forth and staying someplace quiet. The accommodation itself was basic but nice, the room was spacious, WiFi was probably the best I encountered in Sri Lanka, they had the breakfast option too (I did not book that). The landlord was a high energy cool guy who organized my pickup and drop off at fair price and the communication was fast and on point. Would definitely recommend this place for those wanting to stay on the quiet side of Kandy!

We had a great stay. The location is very good close to everything we needed, with easy access to transportation, restaurants, and attractions. The breakfast was also quite good, with a nice variety of options to start the day. Overall, a solid choice for anyone looking for convenience and comfort. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a lovely stay at Witherspoon Lodge, we were picked up by our hosts from the station and had fun trying to get up that infamous steep hill! (The hill is really not that bad to walk up) The room is set with a beautiful landscape which was lovely to wake up to every morning. Breakfast was lovely and we felt so welcome.
