I saw Trevi Fountain in 1969. Could not tell you if it changed any in the last 50 years. This time around it was a madhouse. Standing room only. Had to push and shove to get up close for a picture. Try to do late in the day and just up the side street is a fantastic resturant and bar... outstanding for a relaxing cocktail. It is called Comodo! Absolutely overcrowded. We were there on a Friday late afternoon. Took the subway there and walked the rest of the way. We did not want to use the subway in the dark so we decided beforehand to get a taxi or uber back, however, they were charging astronomical prices as they knew we were desperate. The room was absolutely beautiful and comfortable, instantly felt at home. We had an early flight, and the staff was very helpful in assisting us with that.
