After many times in Rome, we chose to stay in Testaccio of tasty food, a more popular neighborhood near the Piramide metro station, also the unusual Piramide, a less visited place in Rome. All amenities were available and working. It faces a lovely park, quiet at night for a good rest. The area is a 15 min stroll to Trastevere and 20-25 mins to the centre of Rome (a pleasant walk along the river). There are also very nice local restaurants, highly recommend to try these! There is a supermarket right besides the building. Points of interest in Trastavere and Testaccio are easily reachable within a 10..20min walking distance.
