Roman Forum

More palace than museum, El Prado is a true cultural treasure trove. Its hallways hold one of the world’s finest collections of European art, from the fantastical figures of Bosch’s Garden of Earthly Delights to the dark, twisted beauty of Goya’s legendary Black Paintings. It doesn't cost an arm and a leg either – in the evening, entrance is usually free.

Be prepared for a long walk. It is worth it.

Be prepared for a long walk. It is worth it. Make sure you have water with you, as there is very little shade, and in summer it gets very hot. The day we went, it was 40 degrees celsius. From here you can easily walk to the Coliseum, but make sure that you have prebooked tickets to both

Gone are the days of strolling through the Forum and sitting as the ancients did among the temples and spirits, remains of daily pre-modern life. But if you can take the time to get into the Forum in a quiet, personal way, it is an experience worth having. As a tourism tour, not so much. Try to enjoy ancient Rome quietly and peacefully, on your own with time and space to receive from it.

get the ticket from the coopculture.it who manage the whole site and the Colosseum. The total experience ticket is cheaper than a lot of the tickets offered by other companies and gets you access to areas that others don't including the stunning house of Olivia.

The room was quite spacious and the bed was super comfortable. Balcony was nice. Great location for night life, pizza, and espresso. Many major buses are in the area including the C3 (Roman Forum), 8 (useful for connecting with 916/115 “rest of Rome”), 115 (Vatican), 125, and H (gets to Termini).

The location of the apartment was excellent-just a 6-minute walk from the Colosseum and Roman Forum. Check-in was easy, and the space was both spacious, comfortable and spotless. The best part, however was the host, Sebastian. He was very thoughtful, considerate and very responsive. Since we were arriving quite late, he shared his phone number and told us to call if we needed anything. Even the next da, he checked in to make sure everything was OK and if we needed any help.

Gorgeous boutique hotel. The location is amazing, just a couple of minutes from the Colosseum. We had the deluxe double room with balcony. The balcony was great and had plants and an amazing view of the Roman Forum. Many restaurants downstairs, very busy area in the heart of the landmarks. Fully intend to return!

Great location! This area was in the heart of the hustle and bustle! Close to the Piazza Venezia, Roman Forum, and Colosseum. Paolo was very communicative - met us upon arrival and answered any questions we had! Made great recommendations and helped us book a private shuttle for our group back to the airport. Surprise bonus - there was an opera house located a couple buildings down and we were able to hear the warmup/performance from our window! What a treat!
