The location is right in front of the Circo Massimo. What a wonderful experience to wake up ten steps away from such a fantastic view! The Colosseum

The fights! The glory! This iconic arena specialized in gory ends. Built in the 1st century, it held up to 80,000 spectators who came to witness gladiatorial combat and bloody reenactments of naval battles. When you look up at the stands, it doesn’t take much imagination to hear the deafening roar of the crowds or to picture the fierceness on display.

I almost got pickpocketed !

I almost got pickpocketed ! good thing my pouch was attached with a chain. Very crowded and too many people allowed in at once so it was almost impossible to really see anything. It seems making lots of money is the only thing that the people that run the place care about. Skip the Colosseum or at the very least book a small tour and skip the line.

The Colosseum and the Roman Forum area are interesting, but crowded. In some ways taking the suburban train out to Ostia Antica, the old port for Imperial Rome, is better as itthe layout is clearer, though you are under the flightpath of Fiumicino Airport.

Disgusting, the ticket site and booking.com, changed times and all three tickets at the same time, tired to communicate with both sites, no joy wasted hundreds of dollars, way too many people booked for every second of the day, it is too chaotic, I nearly flew home to Australia, that's how bad the service was their and booking.com, you didn't answer or help. By far the worse tour

Excellent restaurants and shopping are very close. Right across the street from an Opera house and 10 minutes from Rome Termini.

The place and our host were great. It was clean, had all the amenities we needed, the location was literally 2 steps from the colosseum. I recommend walking, it takes approximately 10 minutes to get to the colosseum, but there is also a bus station close to the apartment. Laura was really nice and also recommend us some places to visit. It was a great stay, I will for sure book this again for the next stay in Rome.

The San Pio was a classic old school hotel in a secluded setting, but within a walk of a wonderful neighborhood in one direction, and a longer walk to the Colosseum in the other. The staff was warm and professional, and the restaurant— both for dinner and the complimentary breakfast— provided delicious food with outstanding service.

Great apartment. Great location. The Colosseum is just around the corner. As were restaurants and bars too. Kitchen was equipped with pans and dishes. Water was clean and hot. Nicely decorated. Spacious. The apartment is on the third floor but we were able to send our luggage up via the one person elevator. Would definitely stay here again.

The location was awesome with views of the Colosseum (8-10 min walk) and various stores close. Metro was close by. The apartment was spacious and it was very nice that the bedroom is away from the living room. AC worked well and shower was good. The host answered all of my questions and then some. They supplied a crib as requested. It was a great place to stay, would stay here again when in Rome.

I had a wonderful stay at this beautifully renovated apartment! Everything looks brand new, clean, and tastefully designed. The location is perfect — just a few minutes’ walk from the metro station and about 2 km from the Colosseum, which made exploring the city super easy. The host was very kind and responsive, making check-in smooth and stress-free. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rome!

Even though it’s not in a premium location, it’s very convenient and lively, surrounded by shops and restaurants, and close to the Colosseum and Termini station. The Monti area and other important landmarks in Rome are also nearby. The room was spacious and clean, with nice touches like slippers, toothpaste, and a toothbrush - just like in higher-end hotels. It was tidy and partly renovated, offering great value for the price.

The FaMa rental was perfect for our stay in Rome. We are a family of 6: 2 adults and 4 children and stayed 2 nights. The rental was in a quiet neighborhood, but close to restaurants, grocery, landmarks, etc. The hosts were very attentive and kind, the apartment was clean and well-kept. The park across from the rental is a gem in bustling Rome-it was such a peaceful, beautiful park and led you right to the Colosseum. We are so happy we chose FaMa for our stay!
