It was one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The hotel owners were extremely kind and warm-hearted people. The location is excellent; you can easily reach the blue and green metro lines on foot. Since all the attractions are close to the hotel, we didn’t even need the metro. If I visit Athens again, I would definitely choose to stay here again.

A must to visit, it is climbable, I am 75 and with help from my daughter I made it to just before the top, I'm afraid of heights so didn't make the top with the crowds. Best time to go is 8am, our time was changed to 10am, due to a strike. If you are unable to climb the steps there is a cart that takes you to a lift which takes you to the top.

Go very early in the day, or very late, to avoid the huge crowds. Buy your timed tickets in advance, and they are separate from the museum. The museum is great, but there are several better collections in the center of Athens.

Nice to see but 30 euro is really too much for seing a few stones. Not much left of this area, like most temples of ancient Greece. We were a bit dissapointed. Greeks build an immage on the old history. A lot more labour of reconstruction could be done by escavating areas and putting the pieces together to look more like the original. Visitors should at least be permitted to walk inside the area of the temple.

Ancient wonder.

Ancient wonder. It was a beautiful day when we visited the Acropolis. Majestic structure against blue skies. Tough parts of the monument is under renovation, the pathway for tourists was very well marked. People could walk around find the best photography angels and just soak in the history.

Athens is a wonderful city to visit & explore… however, beware of Rogue Taxi 🚖 drivers! If they don’t display their photo/licence walk away! Even if they put on the “meter” it’s best to ask for a price and not accept an astronomical cost on arrival !🥺 The fare from Airport to Athens is around 50€ NOT 120€ which we were charged by 1 bandit in August! We found a very honest & friendly Taxi driver who spoke English - works for a company called “Athens My Transfer” check it on-line.

The Acron Athens was quite superb. A beautiful old house , wonderfully restored and very sophisticated , the Acropolis was the view at the back (very close), Lykavittos Hill from the front balcony - which I was privileged to have. The management was incredibly helpful - solving any issues I had immediately - and the Muses, after whom the various apartments were named, must have been on the staff!

The hotel is in a very good position in the center of Athens close to Monastiraki square, Syntagma and the acropolis The staff was very welcoming and gave us many advices. They gave us a free drink on the hotel rooftop (which is a very special place with a stunning view of the acropolis) and also offered free early checkin and free late checkout. We also left our and our friends’ luggages during the day and booked a taxi through the hotel. Room was clean and quite big

The apartment was located very close to the Tram station which was convenient for our trips into Athens city to visit the museum, Acropolis and a little shopping! It is also across the road from the local beach where the water was exceptionally clean.

The location was perfect for exploring Athens in the main tourist areas around the Acropolis, including Plaka, and the Acropolis itself. A short walk either way down Ermou Street, the main shopping street right near Villa Brown Ermou, takes you to Syntamaga Square or Monastariki, both being key areas of interest. There were also numerous restaurants and cafes nearby. The hotel facilities and staff were excellent, and any requests that we had were dealt with very professionally - would highly recommend staying at Villa Brown Ermou.

The stay at the apartments next to the hotel is truly wonderful as you can use all the hotel facilities. Quick check-in, impeccable service, and clean spaces. All the attractions are very close, and there are also many dining options nearby. The view of the Acropolis is truly relaxing. Highly recommended.

Go beyond the Acropolis and explore the Agora and Kerameikos, imagining yourself entering Athens along the road from the port of Piraeus, and following the Panathenaic Way to the Akropolis. Stop at the museums along the way to understand the significance of each site. Then visit the National Archaeological Museum to see that classical Athens is just one of Greece's many magnificent cultures.

If you want to avoid crowds while seeing the famous sights, start out early and be at the sights when they open. I arrived at the Acropolis around 8:10 AM and there were only around 20 people on the whole compound. It was wonderful! There was a crowd climbing the hill when I descended, though!

Consider visiting Athens in May or September.

Consider visiting Athens in May or September. May is just lovely. Spring flowers like poppies and daisies cover the hills. It's not too busy and not too hot. Remember that on holidays you are always moving so consider the weather when you make your plans. Also, research opening hours as the Acropolis is closed May 1; and other Ancient Landmarks are closed on certain days and on certain hours any other day.
