Wenshu Monastery
Rebuilt in 1697, the original monastery fell victim to the Ming dynasty war, with its current reconstruction standing as the best-preserved Buddhist temple in Chengdu. Still a place of local worship, the temple house many cultural relics such as precious paintings, 300 Buddha statues and sutras written in the blood of Chan masters’ tongues.

Our room on the 1st floor was a suite with a four-poster bed and a balcony overlooking restaurants and cafes. All the old style of China past with a calming Zen vibe. The place Is clean, confortable and located close to the Wenshu Monastery. The manager Helena and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. I felt immediately at home there. Moreover, I joined many free activities organized there and it is a good way to make new friends. Close to the hostel there are convenient store and a metro station.
