We had a wonderful stay in the hotel. The room is clean and nice and the staff are helpful and friendly. It was a short 8 mins walk to food and Caohejing in City, a swanky mall where u can get your shopping done. The 12 mins walk to the subway station is also a pleasant one. The hotel is just next to Tencent.

The staff were kind and helpful from the very beginning. After we returned to the UK, we realised my mum had accidentally left one of her passports at the hotel. Loved my stay at The Yard! The natural wood design throughout the hotel is stunning—think warm timber furnishings, minimalist decor, and a serene atmosphere the moment you step inside. The plus side is there are bus stop right next to the hotel and there is a street food truck barbeque at evening which is great for dinner / supper. The owner are a very humble guy too.

The room was great, very clean, and spacious enough for our needs. Great to always be supplied with plenty of bottled water. Having a laundry room (and also the possibility to leave the laundry to be done by the staff) was great. I loved the delivery robot as well, it made for an extremely fun experience. The hotel is very close to the terminal station of metro line 1, which offers great connections to a lot of interesting areas in the city, including the centre. There's also a direct bus line to the Shanghai Zoo, which is great. I will definitely look into booking here again when returning to Shanghai.
