The garden is a well-maintained tropical paradise, and breakfast on the terrace is simply heavenly. Everything is wonderful and invites you to stay longer. Definitely worth a visit! Located 17 km from Kilauea, Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant offers 3-star accommodation in Volcano and features a garden, a shared lounge and a bar. The property is situated 38 km from Pana'Ewa Rainforest Zoo, 42 km from University Of Hawaii, Hilo and 44 km from The Pacific Tsunami Museum. The inn has a hot tub and luggage storage space. We stayed at the Lodge for 3 nights and fall in love immediately. The staff was very friendly, the room was absolutely cute and perfectly cleaned and the dinner at the Lodge was excellent (you should try the Volcanoes wine made in the area!). Drinking water and parking were for free. The location was great, since we were there for hiking in the Volcanoes National Park, which is only 5-10 mins drive away. You can use the fire place in the common area for free and enjoy a relaxing evening. There is no TV in the room, which we loved. Time to talk and read a book. A rain forest nature trail belongs to the Lodge's area as well.
