The Muckross Hotel is a great place to stay in Killarney National Park. It is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway with spa access and beautiful nature around. The staff are all extremely welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help. The breakfast included is superb with a buffet and hot food you can choose to order. We also had dinner in the pub a few times and an afternoon tea in the Monk's Lounge. Both were great. The hotel also offers complimentary bikes you can reserve which is great to explore the park.

Morning coffee is served in the Sun Lounge whilst traditional breakfasts are available in the dining room. Fine Irish cuisine is on the menu at Castlelough Restaurant which overlooks the gardens. We had a lake view room, it was very spacious and clean and had beautiful views over the lake. Bed was comfortable, a large well stocked bathroom and there was a sofa and chairs, coffee and tea making facilities were available. There was also water dispensers on each floor. We used the thermal suite, it was definitely worth it and apart from us there were only two other people using it at that time. The days we were there only the bar was available for food, it was quite good.

We were able to park our car beside our patio and it made it very easy to unload our luggage. The breakfast which was included had an abundance of choices.
