It’s an easy 5 minute walk from the main bus station, making it an easy spot to travel in and out of Makarska. While it’s tucked away in a quiet corner, it’s only a short walk to great restaurants, stores and beaches. The adults-only hotel is beautifully renovated, and very charming. The rooms are spacious, well appointed, masterfully decorated, exceptionally clean and incredibly comfortable. The host, Dino, clearly took a lot of pride in crafting an oasis with this entire space. He, Yan Yan, and Eddie were welcoming and kind, and as a solo traveler I felt both safe and incredibly comfortable. I have to call out Yan Yan in particular for being especially thoughtful, professional and warm. He really helped set a positive tone at the start of every day with exceptional service at breakfast and throughly the day with thoughtful suggestions and recommendations. I can’t say enough about how wonderful he was - his energy was a cherry on top of an already lovely stay. I look forward to recommending Casa Columba to friends and family, and returning again one day!

All units include a seating area, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, and a private bathroom fiitted with a hair dryer, while some units feature a terrace or a balcony. A fridge, a stovetop and kitchenware are also available, as well as a kettle. At the apartment complex, every unit is fitted with bed linen and towels. Very generous welcome gift of drinks, chocolaté, fruit, crisps and enough coffee pods to last us all the week. Yolanda, our contact was extremely attentive offering good advice on restaurants and trips. She replied very quickly to any text messages. WiFi shut down one day however someone was around in less than an hour to fix. Nice sized shared pool. Nice local bakery and small supermarket 1 minute from apartment. Lovely view from penthouse apartment. Room cleaned and towels/bedding changed midweek. Large balcony with room for the 2 sunbeds and table with 6 chairs. Short walk of 10 mins to beach and old town. Finally, we also had a leaving gift of local liiqeuer, chocolates and olive oil.

Stocked mini bar, coffee pot in room. 25 foot long breakfast buffet with indoor and outdoor seating. Staff friendly and very helpful. Small parking lot on property should book in advance. We did not but they accommodated. Overall very nice
