The accommodation was fabulous and had every little detail covered. We found the whole site an absolute joy to stay in. The pool made it extra special, so beautifully built and the gardens and grounds were gorgeous. Sitting and watching the sun go down in the evening and come up again the next morning in such a lovely setting was the ‘icing on the cake’ The owners were approachable, extremely helpful and kind.

Fantastic stay at Le Petit Moulin. Nathalie and Patrice have been wonderful hosts: warm welcome, extremely friendly and really passionate about their domain! We have stayed 2 nights in the Suite Longere, and could have stayed longer! It was very comfortable and very clean. We had our dog, Koka, with us and he loved it. The breakfast was excellent: delicious home-made jams and home-made bread (by Nathalie). We did not use the swimming pool, but heard that the water was warm and it was a great relaxing "plus" after a full day at the Puy du Fou. Thank you to Nathalie and Patrice for making us feel at home and for sharing their passion for their region (we loved the Trouspinette)! It was also super nice to meet other guests! We certainly will return!

The hosts couldnot have been more helpful. We upgraded to a room in the house which was lovely. They have its directions to Puy Du Fou to avoid the traffic

Stunning architect designed hotel. Our first reaction was Wow! We were offered a room upgrade for £20 before we left England and glad we did, huge room with sofa. Restaurant was also stylish with great food at amazing value. Definitely a 4* hotel/restaurant. Loved it so much, wish we’d had time to sample breakfast and enjoy the spa/pool but had to rush off to next destination. Would change our route just to stay there again! Can’t wait. The town of Les Herbiers was also a delight, so clean, parts of it were very modern. Overall a real surprise and can’t recommend this hotel enough (late game of pool/table football after dinner was an added delight)

What a find! Beautiful location, with some unique lodgings. A magical fairytale of a place. Staff were utterly gorgeous- one even showed me and my very excited children round the tree house- as she happened to have stayed there herself that night. They were also very flexible around arrival time. We visited at 9am to get our bearings, then went off to Puy du Fou for the day, and returned at 11:30pm. Breakfast was a delightful surprise- a beautiful picnic hamper filled with goodies. We stayed in the bungalow tent- felt like being at the Tri-Wizard Cup:)- and enjoyed looking around at the more unusual accommodations. I took my elderly parents and my little children, and everyone was equally enraptured with this wonderful place. Will definitely be back, for a longer stay next time. Proximity to Puy du Fou (also wonderful) was perfect.
