They were very kind and accommodating. The best part of our apartment was the massive balcony that was great for relaxing after a beach day. Right beside the building there is a grocery store and a bakery. The property is a 5 min walk away from the beach front walk way. However, it is important to note that Herceg Novi is very hilly and that distance in the city can be very misleading. Ancora Hotel is about 50 meters away from the beach and we agreed we wouldn’t pick a property any further into the hill than 50 meters. Also, the property is about a 15 minute walk from the old town and all of the hustle and bustle.

I really liked everything — it was clean, great, everything was perfect. The parking, which is the most important thing, was excellent. Everything was just great.

The room was modern and clean, we had a lovely little terrace outside. The facilities were excellent with use of the pool and sunbeds at the hotel next door. The only staff they seem to have are the bar staff and they couldn't have been more helpful. When it comes to value for money it's excellent.

The food is regional and outstanding and they also have a great selection of local wines, most of them they produce themselves. We stayed there for our first night after arriving in Albania and decided to come back later during the trip, as everything was excellent.
