Protea Room is a compact room offering a private en suite bathroom and kitchenette. It has a private entrance and looks out onto the mountains. My house is situated in a quiet area and close to all amenities.
Jeanne Roux was born in Franschhoek and hails from a tenth generation of farmers in the Valley. She loves hiking in the mountains and the unique flora of the Cape Floral Kingdom. She propagates proteas on a small commercial scale in her garden.
Protea Room is situated within easy walking distance of the central business area of Franschhoek with its Cape Dutch Architecture and numerous restaurants. Franschhoek is also known as the food capital of South Africa. The Hugeunot Memorial and Museum is at the other side of the town, an easy 16 minute walk from Protea Room.
