Hartland Country House is situated on one hectare of beautiful gardens and spacious lawns , but also in the heart of the Klein Karoo town, Oudtshoorn! The Grobbelaars river borders the property on the one side and both our neighbouring properties are also one hectare pieces of land, all very tranquil with horses and sheep grazing around....This is a very safe area and guests can stroll the neighbourhood and streets. Children can play on the playing equipment : tree house with slide, swings and trampoline. Guests can enjoy the 15 metre sparkling swimmingpool and can relax on the sun loungers....There is an outside barbeque/braai area with dining table and lounge, overlooking the swimmingpool. On rainy days the kids can watch TV or DVD's in the TV lounge and a lovely fire can be lit inside.... The town is within walking distance, about 1.5 km away. In Oudtshoorn you will find many quaint coffee shops, restaurants and curio shops. The famous Cango Caves is 25 km away and a must see in this area. Several ostrich show farms are close-by, about 10 - 15 km from here. The Cheetah and Crocodile Ranch is definitely worthwhile a visit, especially with kids, and is only 1 km from the house.
