Relax in our Scandi inspired Cabin in the Woods. This is a spacious, wooden cabin surrounded by ancient Yellow wood trees and indigenous forest. You will stay in three well equipped bedrooms, one with a King size bed, one with two single beds, and one with a queen bed. All three bedrooms have their own en-suite bathrooms with shower, basin and toilet and the main bathroom has a free standing bath. The living spaces consists of a lounge / tv room, dining room with seating for 8 at the table, fully functioning kitchen and a large deck looking out over the forest and garden. The living spaces are double height and furnishings are modern, minimal and thoughtfully put together. Our house is a double storey wooden house that we have converted into two separate and self contained units. My husband and I live in the ground floor unit and we host guests in the upstairs unit. All living spaces, decks and entrances are completely separate and private. We have two Weimaraner dogs on the property and the garden is their domain. Guests have exclusive access to the deck area overlooking the forest and garden but no access to the garden itself. These two areas have been separated with gates so that guests can relax and enjoy the outdoors at their own pace and do not have to engage with our dogs. As we have wooden floors and this is a double storey space you might hear us walking every now and then. Please note, our house is situated in a rural residential community surrounded by nature. Together with our neighbours we live a quiet life filled with love and appreciation for the natural environment. We try our best to live sustainably and therefore collect our own rain water, use solar power, grow our own vegetables and recycle as much as we can. When you book your stay in our cabin, please be mindful of your consumption and our way of life. No parties, events or loud music after 10pm.

I am a Fine Art Photographer that run my own business from The Crags in South Africa. My husband and I live on the property with our two Weimaraners. Even though our units are completely separate and private we are available to share information about any local favourite restaurants, hikes or other activities.

The Crags is a wonderful rural neighbourhood located a mere 15 minutes outside of Plettenberg Bay. We are a 10 minute drive from Nature's Valley beach and lagoon, a 10 minute drive from Keurbooms beach. We have a selection of popular wine farms that offer tastings and restaurants right on our doorstep. We are also very close to the local animal sactuaries with a few popular ones being Birds of Eden, Monkeyland, Jukani, Lawnwood snake sanctuary and the Karoo Donkey sanctuary. Our house is located in a secure, gated estate on a secure street just off the N2. It is tar road up to our property. Parking is free and is in front of the house, with additional parking available for visitors. As this is a rural area we do not have access to public transport and you will need a car to get around.
