Antares is an exclusive bush camp set within the Greater Kruger National Park. We can accommodate up to 8 guests. The facilities have been to offer 3 twin rooms, all en-suite with additional outside showers as well as a family room with 1 queen and 1 bunk bed and a shared bathroom. There is free Wi-Fi available and free parking. We run as a self-catered camp but catered options are available on request and an extra cost. Unlimited access to the underground Umgede Hide overlooking the waterhole allows you to experience game viewing from the water level and at only a few meters from the animals. We offer the camp as an exclusive unit so you need to book the entire camp for your party. Additional activities includes game drives and walks. We have access to almost 7500 Ha of reserve along the banks of the Olifants river and all of the Big 5 can be seen as well as a wide variety of general game species and an impressive bird list of over 300 species.

Ian and Mel have owned the property since 2000 where they live with their 2 children. We are all passionate about the bush and anything to do with nature. Ian grew up in Africa and has spent most of his life on the continent apart from a short 7 years spell after school when he was in the UK. Mel has born in the UK and moved to South Africa in 2000 having claimed she was born in the wrong country. Since a child she has been drawn to Africa and is now fulfilling her childhood dream.

Grietjie Private Nature Reserve is about 3000 Ha and is part of the the Balule Nature Reserve and incorporated into the Greater Kruger National Park. All the major species of animals can be found on the reserve and we are frequently visited by herds of elephants and prides of lions drinking from the waterhole in front of the camp as well as a host of other animals. The reserve also boasts a list of over 300 bird species.
