This 1,900 square foot 4 bedroom, 2 bath home is set back .1 mile from the main road and set off by thick trees. Privacy and quiet is in no shortage here! The property itself is stunning, with fruit trees, gardens, a pond, and 15 acres of woods to explore. There is a walking path around the pond and a short trail cut into the woods. There is no shortage of nature to see, with regular sightings of deer, birds of all kinds, ducks, geese, and other wildlife (while we have yet to view a fax, fox tracks have been spotted near the pond). The sunsets and sunrises are amazing, both at the property and at the less than 5 minute drive to the lake!
I love sharing this beautiful property with others, and watching them explore and enjoy it's beauty! I have personally utilized short term rentals for over a decade, and it's been a pleasure to be on this side of those stays. *If you have any questions about the property, please send me a message rather than request to reserve dates. The system does not allow the host to respond to questions included in the reservation request, only to accept or reject.
You'll find a quiet setting at this comfortable home with private, pastoral views-all just steps from the fishing, kayaking, and boating that Port Bay offers. Take in the beauty of Chimney Bluffs and Sterling Nature Center, enjoy beer, cider, and wine tasting, and savor the area's local produce and farm goods. Or, venture to the nearby busier lake areas of Sodus Bay and Fairhaven, or the 1 hour to Rochester, Syracuse (home of the NYS Fair), or Finger Lakes. It's also the perfect stay for Sterling's Renaissance Festival! Port Bay and the marina are a short .1mile walk from the house, and it's a less than 5 minute drive to the lake. I am 8 minutes from the village of Wolcott, which has a grocery store, bakery, weekend movie theater, and several restaurants and ice cream stands. There's also a farm stand about 6 minutes away. It's 45 minutes from loads of attractions, such as civil rights sites and arts in Auburn, historic Seneca Falls including early 20th century women's rights, access to the Erie Canal, Waterloo Outlets, Montezuma Wildlife Refuge, and the college town of Oswego on the water front.
