Company information

The Stoneacre family is a synergy of good food, good drinks and good company. Our businesses include Stoneacre Brasserie, Stoneacre Garden, Stoneacre Catering, and Stoneacre Picnics. Christopher Bender found his leading lady, Nicole Canning, during her visits home to her native Newport from living abroad. Casual run-ins at the restaurant became a food-fueled love story, and upon moving back to Newport full-time the two reconnected for good. Nicole grew up in her grandmother’s bed & breakfast, which her nana owned & operated for over 35 years. As Director of Guest Services for the Chart House Inn, Nicole brings her warmth & lifelong passion for hospitality to each guest interaction.

Property information

The Chart House Inn has been freshly renovated and upgraded. The house was built in 1883 and has been restored thoughtfully. Each room is named after a leading lady from Rhode Island that "charted" history. The design elements that make each room special are a nod to the lady for which it is named.

Neighbourhood information

The Chart House Inn is located on one of the oldest and most charming streets in the heart of Newport, RI. Just a skip, hop, or a jump to the hustle and bustle of Thames Street or the grandeur of Bellevue Avenue mansions.
