Experience an authentic Olhão home from the 1920's designed and built with a combination of conventional layouts with a decorated, eclectic façade. From the Mirante (lookout point) you'll delight your senses with cubist architecture views and the Ria Formosa islands of Culatra, and Farol. This two-story home is divided into 2 separate and private apartments. The ground floor has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, full kitchen and living room. No access to terrace from ground floor apartment. The second story apartment has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, full kitchen and living room. In addition, this apartment provides you with access to a large terrace and a lookout point (Mirante) where you can enjoy the majestic sunsets. Special care needs to be exercised with children and those with limited mobility around all balconies, stairs to terrace and mirante. From a central point in the old quarter of town, you'll be immersed in local life has it has existed for centuries. Casa Cubista is a short 4 minute stroll through narrow streets to the main waterfront boulevard where you'll find local Markets, traditional restaurants, bars, Marina, parks and ferry docks to the beautiful islands of Ria Formosa. Casa Cubista is situated on the western side of the city's historic district, nestled just north of the Barreta quarter.. There is a handful of semi-manor houses in the area that were built by wealthy business families mainly from the fish canning industry that flourished in the town beginning in the late 1800's. The area just west of Casa cubista was known as the "prainhas" as the ocean reached as close as Taska restaurant now located at Praça João de Deus. A short 5 minute walk through narrow cobblestone streets will take you to the local Museum and Church as well as other attractions.
