I am a Sri Lankan born professional who has lived and worked in the UK since 1982. We have been visiting Sri Lanka regularly over the last 3 decades to keep in touch with our family and friends. When our niece Inoka and her husband Niroshan were building their new house in 2017, we persuaded them to make it a 2 storey house. After completing their new house, Inoka, Niroshan, and family have moved into their large comfortable space downstairs and we kept and furnished the upstairs to UK standards as our 'cozy nook' to stay whenever we go to Sri Lanka. We visit Sri Lanka a couple of times a year. And when not in use, we are happy to share it with discerning guests who like privacy and home comforts whilst visiting the coastal city of Negombo in Sri Lanka. The apartment is fully furnished, has hot and cold running water and has a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering. If you prefer, you could order your breakfast and dinner from Inoka who produces mouthwatering Sri Lankan cuisine!

This apartment is located in a quiet residential area of Negombo off the main road. There are several schools, churches and temples just a short distance away. A short 5-minute walk takes you to the main road for buses and a new supermarket is across the other side. Only 20-minute tuk-tuk ride to the famous Negombo fish market, where the local fishermen come ashore with their day's catch of fresh fish. The post office, pharmacy, and bank with ATM a short walk away. 10-minute tuk-tuk ride will take you to Negombo beach 8 mins. to the lagoon and the Hamilton (Dutch) canal. The city of Colombo 22 miles away. This apartment is located in a quiet residential area of Negombo off the main road. As such, we appreciate if you keep the noise down at night. Hail a tuk-tuk forgetting about locally, or ring a cab if you are travelling further afield. Catch a bus or train if you want to do it the way the locals do.
